Description
J Schrimsher and Nicole Ippolito have organized two training camps for the upcoming season.
J will be teaching the Mantis for those interested in honing in your RW skills. Flying the Mantis has several advantages over the traditional boxman technique. Some would consider the Mantis as "high performance" flying. It will give you better fall rate control and increase your ability to perform center point turns more aggressively. This technique will advance your 4 way skills immensely. It will also help you get in and stay in on those larger formations. A major part of the Mantis is muscle memory, so once we go thru the motions you can practice them at any time, thus enabling you to get the most out of each training jump. This camp is for any experience level so come on out and join us.
J and Nicole will also be organizing some Women's way to prepare them for the 20 Way Pink Patch Dives during SkyFest and the Women's Georgia State Record( WGSR) also during SkyFest. The Pink Patch dives are 20 ways consisting of all women. Once completed the participants will receive the official TeXXas 20 Way Pink Patch, this tradition is over 20 years old and has been proven to create some great skydives over the years. Not to mention the plane ride up! But we twist the event during SkyFest a bit, we raffle off the 20th spot to a lucky winner! This winner could be male or female and there are only about 20 Men in the World that have this patch. We use the 20 ways as practice dives for Sunday's State Record jump at SkyFest. So ladies, come out and let’s get you all in the air for some fun training jumps prior to the event in June. Our goal with the ladies is to get a solid 8-10 base ready for June, so join us as we learn the Mantis and build the ladies numbers up as we progress thru the season.
These camps will be casual in nature; start times are 10:00 AM. We will not be sending out weather cancellations, if you want to come out and see what happens, great, if not, no worries. We can always go thru the body positions and creeper work for a couple of hours. In fact, if you are interested in just doing some ground work this Saturday let me know and I will be here so we can give you the opportunity to practice the moves till weather allows us to jump again. I will be here at 10 AM if anyone is interested. There are no experience limits for either camp, thus enabling us to "combine" the camps if needed. Every camp is open to men and women, we will split them when needed so come on out and lets have some fun!
Feel free to drop us a line if you have any questions or if you will be attending any of the camps.
