Price increase

Farmer's due to the increase in crude oil prices we are forced to raise our lift ticket prices to $22, Hop and pops to $14 and block jumps to $20. Ben Griswold is currently working on converting the Otter to bio diesel.

Christmas Party Weekend

WoooHooooo!

December 7-9 is Christmas Party weekend at The Farm.

$18 jumps. No registration...just plain old good fun jumping the Otter. Saturday night is the party. Bring 1 or 2 inexpensive gifts (unbder $25) and we'll do the blind gift exchange like we did last year that was so much fun.

Pot Luck dinner Saturday so everyone bring a dish or two. An entre and/or vegetable dish is suggested because so many will be bringing deserts.

4-way Scrambles. Register with Andy anytime up 'til Saturday Dec. 8, 9:00 am. 3 rounds. $22/jump includes video or $18/jump if the team provides its own videographer. First round gets off at 10:00 am. Goody bags for all competitors. Trophies, medals, ribbons. Special treats for winners.

GSL Swoop Camp and PD Optimum Demos

Skydive the Farm hosted a canopy swooping camp April 7-8 to get jumpers ready for the Georgia Skydiving League season. Mark Shimell and Ian Drennan hosted the camp at no charge. Participants only had to pay for jumps, although donations were accepted for the swoop lane materials.

A zone accuracy course was set up to practice on. Other courses were also set up to practice for other events.

This camp was for those wanting to learn the rules and learn pattern and setups and for seasoned competitors to practice and share tips and to just plain show off.

Ian brought a selection of the new PD Optimum reserves to demo. Several were flown AND swooped!

Mike Gruwell Elected as Southeast Regional Director

Skydive The Farm's own Mike Gruwell was elected to the USPA Board of Directors as the Southeast Regional Director for 2007 and 2008. He is attending the USPA Board meeting in Reno, NV, this week.

As Southeast Regional Director, he will directly serve the skydivers in Florida and Georgia. Mike is serving on Competition Committee, Finance and Budget Committee and Regional Director Committee. A full report on the board meeting will be distributed upon his return next week.
